Position Title: Finance Manager
Functional Role: Accounting
In-Office, Remote, Hybrid (I-O/Home): prefers in Office but would look at a Hybrid set up for the right person

Base Salary: $65K-75K DOE- Might go to 80K for a rockstar

Job Summary
Essential functions
- Daily Requirements
- Prepare transit, fuel, and vehicle lease vouchers
- Maintain vehicle registrations and records
- Match gas receipts to fuel invoices
- Maintain driver insurance roster
- Maintain Vehicle insurance roster
- Track and reconcile incoming transit payments and local funds
- Miscellaneous reports and analysis as needed, and miscellaneous support of transit employee operations
- Billing
- Monthly Requirements
- Maintaining and entering monthly Journal Entries, to include:
- Deferred revenue and accrued expenses
- Transit special trip mileage and New Freedom fares
- Work orders to reconcile transit shop inventory with Agency balance sheet
- Computer purchases and assignments
- Transit fare revenue
- Entering, processing, and maintaining fixed asset records in fixed asset register and fixed asset module in Blackbaud FE NXT for Transit assets and full Agency assets
- Entering, processing, and maintaining fixed asset records for Transit buses in TransAm.
- Vehicle acquisition and disposal processing
- Preparation of quarterly/annual inventory and R&E reports for DRPT
- Reconcile Agency prepaid expense, deferred revenue, and IT stock accounts
- Manage Agency insurance invoice installments
- Prepare and submit all Bay Transit reimbursement claims in WebGrants
- Track capital project expenses
- Update and circulate performance analysis report to Transit Director and CFO
- Process and reconcile Verizon vouchers
- Maintain advertising contracts and payments
- Track R&E for annual Art in Transit competition
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (e.g. accounts receivables and payables, banking and investing, budgeting, asset management, periodic reporting, audit preparation)
Proficient in the use of Excel (e.g. formulas, reports, graph)
Experience in Blackbaud Financial Edge General Ledger and Fixed Asset modules
Experience in Virginia state billing and grants management systems
Working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Financial procedures in non-profit accounting including grant accounting, compliance and reporting
- Single Audit per CAFR 200 guidelines
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
