Responsibilities
- Operate a van or box truck to transport goods to designated locations.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of items.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Van Driver or in a similar role, with knowledge of route driving.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving cargo.
- Familiarity with delivery driver responsibilities, including time management and customer service.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local roadways.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
