REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Preferred: 3-5 years commercial construction foreman experience.
- Must be able to read plans & schematics.
- Must be detail-oriented and hard working.
- Must be able to develop a good relationship with staff and clients.
- Must be resourceful, finding ways to resolve issues quickly.
- Must be willing to work overtime as required to meet the project schedule.
- Must work well with others in a multi-functional and multi-location environment in the performance of their essential duties listed below.
- Must be able to represent S&L Building in a positive way to customers.
- Monitor the progress of the project as well as adhere to the budget and timeline and make adjustments, in coordination with the Operations Manager, to stay on-budget.
- Strong Analytical skills with ability to gather and analyze data to reach a solution, adjust to unexpected issues & delays, and identify project strategies and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills.
Time will be spent in a field construction environment without controlled temperature.
Normal business hours typically are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or as necessary to perform the required functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
The principal responsibilities and duties of the Project Supervisor are as follows:
- Secure the initial set of all plans, permit plans, notes, and schedule from the Operations Manager.
- Know every detail of the plans for each item before it is constructed by discussing with Operations Manager and Estimator as needed until you are confident you know the entire plan. Advise crews and answer questions from all workmen on site about the plans.
- Follow project scope and schedule exactly and ensure both are met.
- Ensure the compliance of the company’s safety program at the worksites.
- Enacts the Customer First Policy and always ensures excellent customer service. Respond to customer complaints immediately and communicate these issues with the Operations Manager.
- Anticipate any problems or errors in the project and discuss with the team as soon as possible.
- Check EVERY item as it is being constructed with our quality checklists and against plans and specifications.
- Maintains the assigned company vehicle and cleans it out nightly.
- Purchase for, transport to, verify, and manage the project materials and small tool needs. Collect and return any and all unused or mis-ordered materials to vendors at the completion of the project.
- Communicate any quality workmanship issues IMMEDIATELY to the workman, subcontractor, estimators, and Operations Manager along with a corrective action plan.
- Prepares and submits daily job report (with materials receipts) to the Operations Manager. Document every phase of work and complete all provided checklists.

Summary
The basic function of the Project Supervisor is to accept authority, responsibility, and accountability for all day-to-day activities associated with running and executing a general construction job on budget, on schedule and on scope. Each job must have a Plan Folder with all construction plans, notes, and schedule easily accessible to the Project Supervisor at all times.
This position also needs to exercise authority and responsibility over:
- All workmen on site to assure compliance with OSHA safety requirements.
- Project Schedule – MUST be met and adhered.
- Assure all materials and items necessary for the work are ordered, delivered on time, and checked in for accuracy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
