- Project Analysis: Comprehend project specifications before fieldwork; precisely document observations and test outcomes related to construction materials.
- Data Management: Effectively handle data using field and lab information systems.
- Equipment Maintenance: Verify that field and laboratory equipment are precise and comply with industry standards.
- Inspection Monitoring: Adhere to International Building Code (IBC) guidelines for testing and inspecting construction materials.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with supervisors, contractors, and clients to report on project status and address any issues.
Requirements and Qualifications
- You have a High School diploma/GED
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials
- You have two or more active certifications: American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I, Strength Testing Technician, Laboratory Technician
- You have effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
- You have math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure
