Your Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced
As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician in Greensboro, NC, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects by performing field and laboratory testing of construction materials, including soil, concrete, asphalt, and masonry. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, advance your technical skills, and work in an outdoor environment where your contributions directly impact project success.

What You'll Do:

Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials to verify compliance with project specifications.

Utilize Metafield® and other field information systems for data collection and reporting.

Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Adhere to International Building Code (IBC) guidelines for construction materials testing and special inspections.

Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and clients to report project status and address any issues.

What We're Looking For:

A High School diploma/GED
-
A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials

A minimum of four (4) active certifications, including:
-
American Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician
-
International Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
-
DOT Certifications in Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete
-

A strong ability to communicate effectively (speaking, reading, and writing) in English
-
A solid understanding of math concepts related to weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure

What to Expect:
With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), you'll be prepared for:

Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions

Walking over rough terrain and standing for long periods (up to 12 hours)

Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of materials and equipment

Safely handling field tools and maneuvering equipment on active construction sites
