Position Summary:
- This procedure describes the basic functions, reporting relationships, authority, and responsibilities of the Inside Sales Representative at S&P USA.

- The person occupying the position of ISR plays a pivotal role in driving our sales efforts by helping to manage large customer accounts, buying groups, and industry organizations. The ISR is responsible for analyzing sales data, implementing strategic sales initiatives, and ensuring efficient follow-up on sales leads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, buying groups, and industry organizations. Develop strategies to retain and grow these accounts.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges. Use insights to optimize sales strategies and improve overall sales performance.
- Develop and execute sales plans and initiatives to achieve or exceed sales targets. Collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
- Ensure timely and effective follow-up on leads generated through various channels by coordinating Sales Team response.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, customer service, and operations to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Travel as needed estimated 20 nights per year.
- Must be able to work additional hours to support the organization’s needs.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by National Sales Director.
- Observe all company policies and procedures.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or related industry experience.
- Proven, successful experience in Sales and Customer Management.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance metrics.
- Expert Level Optisizer and proficiency in Visual required.
- Proficiency in the Windows environment and Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and negotiation skills required.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.
- Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to maintain web-based sourcing tools required.
- Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read and interpret English documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mental Requirements:
- Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and speak) is required as most customers, vendors, co-workers, and suppliers communicate in this language. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus.
- Reasoning ability is required to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Mathematical abilities to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Environmental Conditions:
The environmental conditions of the area in which the person shall perform his/her duties consist of ambient temperature variations, dust, fumes, and elevated noise levels found in a manufacturing environment in this geographical area.
Reporting Relationships:
The ISR is selected by and reports directly to the National Sales Director.
Authority:
The ISR has full operating authority to fulfill the responsibilities of the position as described in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities section of this Operating Procedure.
Performance Criteria:
- Perform each essential function listed in the Essential Duties and Responsibilities section satisfactorily.
- Assist and be involved as much as necessary to ensure all sales goals and KPIs are achieved.
