Responsibilities
- Perform internal audit and regulatory compliance audit services, including fieldwork, for our community financial institution clients, and prepare a variety of reports in accordance with the firm’s established policies and procedures
- Assist with various other audits and special projects to meet client needs
- Help train new staff members and ensure fieldwork has been completed
- Maintain ongoing relationships and communication with clients and keep firm management apprised of fieldwork status
- Work independently as well as with a team
- Daily travel to and from client sites is required, with approximately 25%–30% (out of town travel is less than 20%)
- Bachelor’s degree required (accounting degree preferred; finance, business, and other fields will be considered)
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience (Banking audit experience preferred)
- Actively pursuing related certification(s); CPA or CIA strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically
- Ability to be flexible, especially regarding scheduling
- Highly organized with good time management skills
