Senior Associate Auditor, Risk Advisory - Cranberry Township, PA

S.R. Snodgrass is looking for candidates to join our Risk Advisory Group, which specializes in internal audit and regulatory compliance for financial institutions. The Senior Associate position provides candidates with a thought-provoking deep dive into the inner workings of community banks and credit unions. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal skills, and a willingness to learn. Since industry regulations frequently shift, we need an incumbent who can adapt to changes in scope and procedures. Responsibilities

• Perform internal audit and regulatory compliance audit services, including fieldwork, for our community financial institution clients, and prepare a variety of reports in accordance with the firm’s established policies and procedures
• Assist with various other audits and special projects to meet client needs
• Help train new staff members and ensure fieldwork has been completed
• Maintain ongoing relationships and communication with clients and keep firm management apprised of fieldwork status
• Work independently as well as with a team
• Daily travel to and from client sites is required, with approximately 25%–30% (out of town travel is less than 20%)
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (accounting degree preferred; finance, business, and other fields will be considered)
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience (Banking audit experience preferred)
• Actively pursuing related certification(s); CPA or CIA strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically
• Ability to be flexible, especially regarding scheduling
• Highly organized with good time management skills
