Controller

Our client seeks an experienced Controller to oversee corporate financial reporting, financial analysis and more!

This is a full-time, direct hire position where you will earn up to $150,000/year, based on your experience. Plus, you will receive an excellent benefits package. You will work daytime hours Monday-Friday. 100% onsite.

Some of your responsibilities as Controller include liaise with directors and executives as well as:

• Leading the accounting department
• Overseeing all accounting segments including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll & sales tax
• Managing two professionals
• Overseeing the Accounting Manager and the Payroll Process
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Financial reporting
• Financial analysis
• Internal controls
• Preparing annual budgets
• Reporting monthly financials
• Managing depreciation reports and capitalization details
• Identifying system & IT capabilities
• Other duties as assigned

To qualify for the Controller position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field plus 10 years’ experience, as well as:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Master’s degree in Accounting or related a plus
• 10 years’ experience in a senior level accounting
• 3 years management experience
• Sales tax experience
• Experience processing payroll
• Experience with software implementation
• Process optimization
• AP and AR experience
• Retail accounting experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to plan, organize and multi-task budgetary preparation
• Cash management experience
• Understanding of fixed asset depreciation schedules
• Strong and effective time management skills
• Ability to perform all accounting functions, including financial statement preparation
• Company longevity throughout experience
