Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager for commercial roofing company to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective training programs. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate risks within the organization.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Lead incident investigations, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide training development for employees on safety practices
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance status for management review.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Stay updated on EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) regulations and industry best practices.
Preferred Requirements
- Proven experience in a safety management role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation processes and EHS principles.
- Report writing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to develop effective training programs tailored to various audiences.
- Analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis of incidents.
- Ability to fabricate solutions that enhance workplace safety.
