What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at S&S Transport?
S&S Transport of Milton is in an exciting time of growth and we are looking to add a Regional Driver Manager to our team. We just opened our new location in Milton, Wisconsin, and we're looking to hit the ground running. Established in 1981, we have grown from 2 trucks to 160, with 3 terminals across the United States. By effectively coordinating routes, communicating with drivers and clients, and resolving issues as they arise, dispatchers help to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Previous Logistics/Dispatcher Experience preferred. Pay is based on experience.
Key Duties Include:
- Scheduling freight
- Managing Drivers and planning their schedules
- Maintaining Communication with both drivers and Operations
- Maintaining clear and timely communication with drivers regarding pickup and delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and any changes to their routes.
- Coordinating with clients to address any issues or concerns regarding shipments, delivery times, or special requirements.
Skills to be Successful:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions.
