Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Summary : An Electrical Controls Engineer is responsible for the development and programming of controls and electrical systems for major amusement rides and roller coasters.
Responsibilities
- Development of PLC programs for ride operations
- Perform on-site start-up of PLC programs
- Troubleshoot and correct programming bugs during ride start-up or service activities
- Perform and document program enhancements in the field
- Establishment of good working relationships with clients, consultants, and company personnel
- Ability to work independently or with a team on integration and control of mechanical system designs
- Timely preparation of work progress reports and other daily communications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational ability and proven attention to detail
- Development and construction of new project electrical systems, including : functional specifications, ride safety evaluation and documentation, IO lists, schematics, hardware design and layout, conduits and cabling requirements, assembly, factory checklists, factory acceptance tests
- Installation supervision
- Other duties as assigned
