Job Summary: The Risk Manager oversees corporate risk management, insurance policies, legal support, and compliance. This role focuses on mitigating risks, managing insurance and claims, and working with external law firms to ensure a safe, legally compliant company culture. We seek a driven, highly organized, dependable professional who excels in communication and follow-through. Reports to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management:
- Insurance Oversight: Manage all corporate insurance policies, renewals, and claims (e.g., liability, property, vehicles).
- Risk Mitigation: Identify risks and review contracts for insurance compliance.
- Incident Management: Handle amusement park ride claims and implement corrective actions.
Legal Support:
- Contracts: Review/draft contracts, focusing on reducing risk through insurance and indemnification clauses.
- IP Management: Coordinate with patent attorneys to protect company IP and maintain IP records.
- Litigation Support: Manage claims and assist with litigation, maintaining legal records and documents.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage budgets, invoices, and payments for insurance and legal services.
- Maintain organized documentation for insurances, contracts, and compliance.
Training and Culture Development:
- Collaborate with management to promote legal compliance and risk awareness through training programs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certification preferred; experience in risk management/legal support in manufacturing desired.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong legal and insurance knowledge, excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion. Candidates should be driven, highly organized, dependable, and possess professional interpersonal skills when working with law firms and insurance companies.
Other Duties as Assigned
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
