Some types of projects are commercial buildings, industrial installations, agriculture shops, residential concrete up to commercial concrete pours.
Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Steel Erection and Concrete Construction Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of both steel and concrete construction processes, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to produce accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to develop precise cost estimates.
- Assess labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements for steel erection and concrete construction projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to gather essential project details.
- Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals for clients.
- Negotiate prices with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates.
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards, materials, and construction techniques pertinent to steel and concrete.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits for an informed estimation process.
- Regularly revise estimates to account for changes in project scope or conditions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with cost control processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
