Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain office management tasks including filing, data entry, and documentation review.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient information and privacy.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks software for patient management and record keeping.
- Assist with health information management tasks as needed.
- Provide support for coding and billing processes related to Medicare and other insurance providers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient service delivery.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using phone systems and office management software.
- Familiarity with health information management principles and practices.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately for documentation purposes.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required.
