The Commercial Division uses some of the most technical equipment, techniques, and skilled craftsman to provide quality cabinetry.
We are a Certified AWI (Architectural Woodworking Institute), KCMA (Kitchen Cabinet Manufactures Association), accredited in the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council), and QCP (Quality Certified Program). With these Certifications and Accreditations it ensures that our customers will receive the highest quality products required of all commercial casework manufacturers throughout the Midwest Region.
Job Purpose:
The ideal candidate will work with architects, engineers, designers, and contractors, after project is successfully bid from inception to delivery of the highest quality of commercial casework in facilities such as hospitals, universities, schools, doctor offices, and churches, etc.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Aggressively seek and locate construction projects that S&W Cabinets can provide products;
- Evaluate the nature of the customer’s wants and needs;
- Examine site conditions if necessary;
- Obtain a copy of architectural drawings and specifications;
- Communicate with architect
- Review contract for the job
- Create active files for each project
- Place jobs into production schedule
- Establish a time line for installation and completion
- Ordering all job components
- Provide a material cost list based on cut list and original bid;
- Prepare permanent files;
- Ability to manage priorities to meet company goals and objectives;
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision;
- Must be able to work alongside Project Manager and draftsman personnel to provide S&W Cabinets the best opportunity for new business;
- Must be a self-starter, willing to work with little direction and a high level of self-motivation to complete jobs on time and within budget.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a Construction related environment, prior related Military experience, and technical degree in lieu of experience will be acceptable.
- Proven working knowledge and experience in Project Management activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
- The ideal candidate for this position should be highly motivated, positive and energetic, enjoys a competitive atmosphere and is a team player.
