Job Overview: This role provides leadership and overall management of Government contracts, including subcontracts, and GSA Schedules. Leads the negotiation and administration of contracts and agreements, ensuring contractual compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
Responsibilities
Duties:
Responsible for full life-cycle contract management in the government sector from solicitation to award through contract closeout Oversee contracts process and compliance across the company. Support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and administration of major contracts or subcontracts. Monitor company performance for conformance to original proposal Serves as primary point of contact for customers' contracts/subcontracts POC Acts as advisor regarding legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations. Must be able to advise on implications of all contract types.
Negotiates and administers complex contracts and develops and negotiates consulting, nondisclosure, teaming, subcontracting and other agreements Participates in new business development activities.Participates in pricing strategy discussions with business sector leaders, including assessing competitive pricing/rate structures. Conveys contract requirements to Program Managers and monitors contract awards and funding status Negotiates contracts, including price, terms, and conditions, and reviews subsequent contractual documents for legal sufficiency prior to executive review and sign-off Serves as point of contact with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems The above describes the essential duties and responsibilities and is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Qualifications
Required:
Education:BA/BS degree in Business Management or a related discipline. Experience:8 - 12 years progressively responsible government contracting experience. Skills/Abilities/Licenses/Certifications:
Thorough knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition regulations) and DFAR. The candidate must have proven success in customer relations, and in-depth familiarity with the federal contracting process.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel The successful candidate will be an action-oriented, self-motivator individual who is able to work independently and has strong organizational skills.
Financial accounting/pricing experience, including financial/contracts management systems experience is desired.
Professional Certification (CPCM) preferred, but not required.
