Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary data steward for Medicaid data, ensuring integrity, consistency, and compliance across MMIS systems and large-scale automated claims processing environments
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, ETL workflows, and integration solutions to support data analysis, reporting, and system interoperability
- Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to implement data governance practices, metadata management, and Master Data Management (MDM) strategies
- Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends, validate data accuracy, and support decision-making within Medicaid operations and system integration efforts
- Maintain secure, well-documented data assets while supporting compliance with federal and state healthcare data policies, and act as a liaison for data-related communications between technical and non-technical teams
Qualifications:
- Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in a large automated system relevant to the position
- Experience with fiscal agent or MMIS operations in large-scale automated claims processing systems or other comparable systems is preferred
- Must be proficient in database management, SQL and query generation, programming languages, ETL tools, and middleware solutions
- Must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience with systems integration, data analysis, or a related field
- Experience performing these duties within an MMIS environment
- Data management, analytics, or related certifications are preferred
- Additional desired skills/roles include Healthcare data knowledge, data governance, MDM, and communication skills
