Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain analytics and reporting solutions using SQL, Tableau, and other data visualization tools to support Medicaid program operations and decision-making
- Manage and optimize SQL databases supporting MMIS operations, focusing on performance tuning, indexing strategies, backup and recovery processes, and overall database health in a large-scale automated environment
- Administer and automate Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines for consistent deployment, scaling, and configuration of Medicaid-related resources
- Implement and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to track performance, resource usage, and availability across on-premise and Azure environments
- Ensure database and system security, compliance, and data integrity through rigorous management of access controls, encryption, and audit logging
- Create dashboards and environment visualizations using Power BI to report on system performance, cost optimization, and capacity planning for Medicaid data infrastructure
Qualifications:
- Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in a large automated system relevant to the position
- Experience with fiscal agent or MMIS operations in large-scale automated claims processing systems or other comparable systems is preferred
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience with SQL and optimization of database performance, backup, and recovery ETL processes
- Applicable certifications are preferred
- Additional desired skills/roles include understand Automation and Infrastructure as code and CI/CD for deploying Azure resources, automate resource deployment, scaling, and configuration, set-up resource monitoring and alerting, understand Database Backup, Recovery, Security, Indexing, Performance, and overall management, monitor resource usage, optimize cost/performance, Power BI-Create visualizations on environment
