Shipping and Receiving

We are looking for a reliable Shipping / Receiving Clerk with experience in handling cranes and proficient in reading tape measures. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of steel products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of steel products.
• Operate cranes to load and unload steel materials safely.
• Accurately read and interpret tape measures to ensure product specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of shipments, receipts, and inventory.
• Coordinate with the production and sales teams to manage inventory levels.
• Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven experience as a Shipping / Receiving Clerk, preferably in the steel industry.
• Proficient in operating cranes.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret tape measures.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a warehouse environment.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
