What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety and Risk Management Administrative Assistant position at SA Recycling?
Job Duties
· Perform recordkeeping in manual, pdf and electronic database formats;
· Works independently when using MS Excel, Word, and Outlook;
· Phone etiquette that includes noting information, takes messages, schedules return calls, forwards calls, and any other task related to the phone;
· Communicates with modern data lines, Instant Messaging, email, phone, and face to face;
· Interface with vendors;
· Supports Director of Safety by creating purchase orders for good and services;
· Maintains the medical surveillance employee database according to OSHA standards;
· Supports the company EHS software and platforms;
· Manages the company Safety Incentive, Boot Voucher and Prescription Safety Glasses Programs;
· Schedules meetings and activities associated with meetings;
· Supports corporate EHS events and functions;
· Supports the Risk and Claims Manager for property damage related incidents
· Answers the Injury Hotline, and gathers information then emails to the group
Qualifications
· Employees in their position prior to April 2014 are presumed to be qualified and are "grandfathered" into their positions;
· Must pass a medical physical and drug test;
· Must pass a background check;
· Preferred – high school diploma or GED and/or foreign education acceptable;
· Some college one year or more preferred;
· Bi-lingual, English & Spanish, language skills required (verbal and writing)
· Basic understanding of MS Office products;
· Ability to: communicate with others effectively; understand direction, written or oral and use basic math skills as the job demands;
· Self motivated and exhibits good organizational skills.
Pay Rate: $24-$28
