Overview
The Media Planner position offers the unique opportunity to work closely with both the Paid Social Media and Earned Media/Influencer Team in developing and implementing Paid Social advertising media buys and Earned media Influencer campaigns that deliver against key performance metrics for a highly respected automotive client.

- Working comprehension of strategy development and required media math
- Demonstrate strong degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to build and maintain strong interpersonal / professional relationship with vendors, clients, etc.
- Ability to think strategically and apply critical analysis to develop business solutions
- Demonstrate resourcefulness, creatively use resources to proactively solve problems and get the job done
- Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills
- An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with knowledge and energy to develop and execute media plans with 2-3 years of experience in paid social planning
- Conduct strategic planning, manage implementation and optimization based on client strategy and objectives for various paid social campaign initiatives
- Have proficient understanding of media buying on social platforms including:
- Ad units/products
- Targeting
- Planning and buying tools
- Understand influencer metrics (impressions, reach, engagements) to inform planning and interpret the data for recaps / quarterly reports with results and key learnings
- Support team in developing, evaluating and implementing integrated programs including influencer campaigns and media partnerships
- Evaluate partner proposals for innovative custom programs and develop them based on campaign initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment. Oversee execution by managing deadlines, facilitating communication, and fostering collaboration to drive successful outcomes
- Research influencer talent options and pull recap metrics from monitoring platforms
- Cross collaboration with internally (across departments such as account, strategy, creative, project management and analytics) and externally (media partners, clients)
- Support Media Supervisor in overseeing Assistant Media Planner’s day-to-day workload and deliverables
- Manage campaign budgets and actualizations on monthly and ad-hoc basis
- Provide Media POVs on request including relevant rationale
- Stay up to date with recent social landscape trends, influencer marketing trends and new opportunities
- Successfully prioritize work and projects to meet clients’ needs
- Work on evenings or weekends may be required
- B.A./B.S. Degree
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in paid media campaign planning and execution
- Understand media fundamental and basic planning principles and planning process
- Familiarity with Business/Ad Managers across key social platforms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Proficiency in media planning and management tools such as DoubleClick Campaign Manager/Campaign Manager 360, IAS, Prisma, MediaTools
- Working knowledge of media research tools (MRI, Nielsen, ComScore, etc.) and ability to analyze syndicated research
- Knowledge of Social platforms and Influencer partners such as Meta, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Captiv8, CreatorIQ, Upfluence
