Who We Need
The Senior RAVE Support Engineer (Cyber Virtual Environment Administrator) will provide dedicated maintenance and support for the Realistic AFNet Virtual Environment (RAVE) system, a virtualized platform for cyber vulnerability testing. This role includes Tier 1 support, system administration, and virtual environment management, ensuring smooth operations for cyber test environments. The engineer will also support LaunchPad and participate in cross-training with RAVE and AF-PLM technicians.

Tier 1 User Support
- Manage user accounts, including onboarding, password resets, and user inquiries.
- Respond to and resolve technical support tickets.
- Provide training and documentation for RAVE users.
Virtual Environment & System Administration
- Administer and maintain servers, virtual machines (VMs), and software updates within the RAVE system.
- Set up and configure VMware environments to support testing needs.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance within the RAVE virtual environment.
- Maintain an Administrator's Guide on SharePoint for system documentation.
Infrastructure & Cross-Training
- Work alongside Managers and Team Leads as part of the RAVE system administration team.
- Cross-train with LaunchPad and AF-PLM technicians.
- Provide support using Fourti.net and VMware software.
- Use a non-GFE laptop and CAC reader to access RAVE securely.
Reporting & Metrics
- Track and report key performance metrics, including:
- Number of new users onboarded.
- Number of VMs created.
- General system usage and support trends.
Your Qualifications
Required
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity environments.
- Strong knowledge of VMware and virtual machine (VM) management.
- Experience supporting virtualized environments and infrastructure security.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Fourti.net and VMware software.
- Familiarity with government or military cyber environments.
- Experience troubleshooting system issues and implementing security best practices.
- Expert level experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Apps.
- Ability to document technical processes and maintain operational guides.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain a minimum Secret-level security clearance, with potential for a TS upgrade.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Reliable telework setup with phone and internet connectivity.
- Use of a non-GFE laptop and CAC reader for RAVE access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (experience may substitute for a degree).
- Security or CISSP certification (or ability to obtain).
- Background in DoD acquisition and cybersecurity testing environments.
- Familiarity with SAFe, Agile, and ITIL methodologies.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ITSM tools.
