Scope of Responsibility:
The Tower Foreman is the leader of a crew performing general construction activities, with an emphasis on installing tower systems and the maintenance and inspections of existing tower structures. Tower Foreman demonstrates ability to perform all essential job duties and is responsible for training and directing Crew Members on the performance of such skills. Tower Foreman communicates daily with respective project manager regarding project progression and crew performance. This individual shall at all times uphold the foundational goals of SABRE, “Client Service, Quality, and Safety” to enhance the integrity for which the organization has become known.
Essential Duties:
- Complete all necessary safety training provided by SABRE
- Complete all necessary technical training provided by SABRE
- At all times, promote and maintain safe work practices as outlined in the SABRE Safety Manual, as well as other safety and quality directives issued by Management
- Ability to perform, train, direct, and oversee the following job duties:
- Operate hand and power tools with ease
- Operate trucks, trailers, and other equipment with ease
- Utilize basic crane signals
- Utilize winch signals and operations
- Utilize proper rigging practices
- Completion and submission of SABRE project and safety documents
- Enter Crew Members’ hours worked and daily per diem per SABRE policy
- Installation of various types of coaxial components with ease
- Routing of coaxial lines in/on various types of structures
- Installation of various antennas on various types of structures
- Troubleshoot and repair various types of coaxial components and lines
- Installation of tower lighting
- Troubleshoot and repair tower lighting
- Installation of elliptical components
- Routing of elliptical lines in/on various types of structures
- General assembly and installation of microwave dishes
- Path alignment of standard microwave dishes up to 6 GHz
- Troubleshoot and repair elliptical components and lines
- Layout, assembly, and stacking of various structures
Position Requirements:
- Maintain care of SABRE equipment
- Demonstration of organizational skills in all tasks
- Ability to utilize intermediate computer skills
- Communication and coordination of all job-related activities with SABRE Management and Crew Members
- Communication between SABRE Management, clients, and other onsite personnel
- Direct crew by ensuring all work meets SABRE and customer standards, both in scheduling and job specifications
- Direct crew in maximizing time spent on critical job functions to increase overall job profitability
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time
- Medical and physical ability to perform duties of the position
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license, with a driving record that is within guidelines of the SABRE Driver’s Insurability Agreement
- Communicate fluently with SABRE Management and other SABRE employees
- Ability to read, understand, and complete job related documents with ease
- Ability to learn from various instruction methods, as well as self-study
- Ability to train peers on proper work practices
- Ability to climb and work at elevated heights up to 2000’, with a majority of work performed at 400’ or less
- Completion of a minimum of two years of service with SABRE or equivalent industry experience
- Successful completion of any SABRE provided training
