What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Sabre Systems Inc.?
Sabre Systems is seeking a Human Resources Generalist in Lexington Park, MD. This position will be hybrid and employee will be required to be in the office 1-3 days per week. This individual will provide support regarding the principles, practices and standards of human resource administration while helping maintain the strong culture we have built at Sabre over the years.
The Human Resources Generalist will perform a variety of human resources functions in areas such as:
- Administer day-to-day HR related transactions including legal and regulatory compliance and policy administration/interpretation.
- Complete ad-hoc projects, employee communications, and open enrollment administration.
- Serve as benefits administration contact.
- Administer FMLA, Accommodations, and Disability, and address any issues that may arise.
- Manage Workers' Compensation process (including First Report of injury, Return to Work, OSHA 300 log)
- Enhance employee satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, organizing new program offerings and team building activities.
- Assist in the development of standard ADP reports for ongoing company needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
- Assist with Learning Management System assignment.
- Review and amend policy drafts and proposing suggestions to improve the effects of existing policies and employee handbooks.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves.
- Assist in maintaining employee files and records in electronic form.
- Assist VP of HR with employee relations issues, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues.
Qualifications:
The selected candidate must have the following:
- A minimum of three (3) years' human resources generalist experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Ability to exercise high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently through the use of analytical and critical thinking as well as the ability to conduct research, utilize available data and employ negotiation skills.
- Hands-on in-depth knowledge of EEO, ADA, and FMLA, and other compliance employment regulations and policies.
- Strong writing, communication, organizational, accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively conduct and complete projects independently.
- Must be an effective team member as well as an individual contributor.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen. A background check will be conducted, verifying such information as criminal records, employment and education verifications, etc. prior to starting.
Preferred skills:CB-CS1
- An HR certification (PHR and/or SHRM-CP) is preferred.
- ADP experience preferred.
