DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
Summary: Responsible with planning, implementing, maintaining, management, troubleshooting and repair of all School technology within the Meskwaki Settlement Schools through active collaboration with all Tribal wide stakeholders.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
In the realm of Maintenance and Management Activities:
- School Wide Systems including Content Management, Telecommunication, Physical Access and Safety, Virtual Machinery, Active Directory, JAMF, CIPA Filters, Interactive Whiteboards, Google Suite, Student Information systems, Weather, Clocks and Time Clocks
- All datacenter equipment (virtual and physical)
- All Network routers and switches (managed and unmanaged)
- All Hardware devices used at the school
- Support software packages used by students, teachers and support staff
- Ensure licensing is in compliance per purchase agreements with Vendor
- Respond to system outages and contact appropriate support
- Respond to environmental changes and contact appropriate support
- Direct vendors in the installation of technology systems and tools
In the realm of Planning and Implementation Activities:
- Work collaboratively with school administration, staff, students, and other stakeholders to address specific technical needs, coordinate training and assist with issues as they arise
- Plan, coordinate, and implement capital project activities
- Work with vendors to coordinate capital projects, preparedness services as needed
- Respond to tech requests in a timely and expeditious manner
- Collaborate, coordinate, and plan for required upgrades of hardware and software
- Replace all equipment as required by plan and order equipment as needed for repair
- Administration of trainings and documentation (ex. security awareness) as required
- Maintain all appropriate e-rate materials for the school internet
- Maintain all documentation related to Physical and Logical systems
- Test technology applications, tools and programs and make recommendations to Leadership
- Plan, teach, and support staff in technology related programs and new technology implementation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's in Computer Technology, 4 years of tech work in a school environment or combination
- Expert in Apple products and Chromebooks.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft products especially (Active Directory, Exchange, Terminal Services)
- Experience in management of Virtual Machine Systems (VMware); Firewall and network switches (SonicWALL and Cisco)
- Experience with backup and restore procedures
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of student data systems (i.e. Infinite Campus), a strong plus.
SUPERVISION:
- Supervised by the Information Technology Director.

Salary : $59,384 - $91,499
