Job Goal / Primary Purpose :
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support, transportation planning, and safety coordination for the school district's transportation operations.
Minimum Qualifications :
Including Training, Education, & Experience :
- Minimum of High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid State of Maine Criminal History Records Check approval.
- Experience in use of a variety of technology, including dispatching and scheduling preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups, including parents, and various school and department staff.
- Knowledge of bus standards and repair and maintenance procedures or willingness to learn..
- Valid Maine driver's license.
Essential Functions (Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities) :
Monitor and document bus operator check-ins for A.M. / midday / P.M. runs
Assist in the implementation of school transportation policies, state / federal laws
Help facilitate required inspections and driver training programs
Maintain positive and effective communication with school personnel and students.
Compensation and Terms of Employment : Salary and work year determined by the Superintendent.
