What are the responsibilities and job description for the Terminal Manager position at Saconix?
This position will be responsible for all activities at multiple facilities. This position will be responsible for ensuring the operation is economically sound and safe and maintain the company image.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Oversight of facility operation and maintenance
- Oversight of facility logistics
- Oversight of facility regulatory compliance
- Monitor expenses and control spending at the terminal
- Communicate with Corporate management, Customers, EHS, Regulatory Agencies
- Review and analyze various operating data to increase reliability, optimize operations and lower costs
- Responsible for employee development, training in all aspects of their job duties and responsibilities, conduct annual reviews, and maintaining a team environment.
- Assists in the planning and implements safety/environmental policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Rail Association (FRA), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) and Environmental Protections Agency (EPA).
- Advises Director of Operations or their designee on safety, environmental and operational compliance concerns and provide recommended preventative actions.
- Assist in post-accident investigation and reviews report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred, three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with facility operations
- Experience with transport operations
- Experience with maintenance operations
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Must have current driver’s license.
