The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices of education in California. SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. SCOE provides technical assistance, curriculum and instructional support, staff development, financial advice, and oversight to Sacramento County school districts.
Salary and Benefits
Annual salary: $112,691.40
Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, life, vision, and TSA options
Benefit allowance: $1,014.27 per month for single coverage, $1,639.27 for two-party, or $1,789.27 for family coverage
Job Summary
As a member of our Human Resources team, the Personnel Analyst plays a pivotal role in the seamless execution of personnel functions critical to SCOE's operations. Under general supervision, the Personnel Analyst performs complex duties related to the development, implementation, and administration of personnel functions within SCOE. Responsibilities include conducting job analyses, developing job descriptions, assisting in recruitment and selection processes, interpreting employment policies, ensuring compliance with laws, and providing technical direction to staff.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and experience in recruitment, selection, classification, or credentialing. Experience in a personnel department in a school or government agency is highly desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong knowledge of federal and state laws, rules, and regulations related to personnel administration. Proficiency in various software applications, effective communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while managing multiple tasks independently are essential. Additionally, candidates should exhibit proficiency in performing research, data analysis, and developing recommendations.
