The Director of Stadium Operations will oversee the stadium operations, maintenance, ballpark cleanliness, and parking operations ensuring that the stadium is always show ready, organized, and fully operational for all events year round.  We are looking for someone who is focused on the guest experience, has a functioning knowledge of how stadiums operate, and can help navigate future projects such as ballpark improvements and energy efficiencies. Managerial skills and technical expertise are essential qualifications for this position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; addressing complaints and grievances, and resolving problems.
  • Manage and oversee the annual budgets for the following departments: Stadium Operations and Parking.
  • Acts as a leader and sets a positive tone in order to mentor and develop staff to deliver world class service in all aspects of the operation that exceeds expectations of our guests, clients, and partners.
  • Coordinates and oversees the work performed by third party contractors and engineers.
  • Serves as a member of the emergency response leadership team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the work plan for facility maintenance, and operations; meet with staff and resolve problems; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate methods and procedures.
  • Works directly with property management, leasing, engineering, outside vendors, and construction in various facets to deliver top tier asset management with a budget conscious focus and a customer centric experience.
  • Determine, plan, and oversee appropriate capital expenditure projects needed to continually enhance the stadium.
  • Work closely with local governing officials, local law enforcement, and Fire/Medical to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.
  • Act as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies as the “Company Representative.”
  • Direct all operations and cleaning vendors to constantly maintain stadium cleanliness.
  • Be knowledgeable of, implement, and manage operating and maintenance policies/procedures consistent with all applicable laws, codes, ordinances, safety precautions, and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with League and industry standard and practices.
  • Train and develop Stadium Operations and Parking staff to deliver world class service in all aspects of the operation that exceeds expectations of our guests, clients and partners.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
  • Direct, supervise, and schedule all aspects of maintenance and engineering, ensure proper operation of all systems including, but not limited to; building automation systems, electrical systems, and plumbing.
  • Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Previous experience managing a team of people with a demonstrated ability to develop, mentor, and evaluate staff.
  • Superior written and oral communication, organization, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and schedule maintenance work and direct skilled tradespersons and technicians in the performance of their duties.
  • Strong sense of urgency and the ability to multi task.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills pertaining to Outlook, Excel, Word, and Asana, plus company time management system (ABI & Workday).
  • Ability to regularly work beyond normal business hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays. This includes most events and baseball games.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or technical certification preferred.
  • 7-10 years previous experience in operations as a skilled technician in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC maintenance/repair of building maintenance, and plumbing.
  • Previous experience in large, multiuse entertainment facility preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Compensation:

This position is a full-time, exempt role with an expected annual salary of $70,000-$80,000 and is bonus eligible. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
