What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stadium Operations Coordinator position at Sacramento River Cats?
The Stadium Operations Coordinator will perform operational practices at Sutter Health Park including painting, general maintenance and repairs, and setting up for events/games.
Lead Responsibilities:
- Lead and train part-time Operations Assistants in daily tasks
- Delegate daily tasks to Operations Assistants as assigned by the Director of Stadium Operations
- Assist with scheduling and payroll responsibilities under the direction of the Director of Stadium Operations including relaying corrections and adjustments for Operations Assistants
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, barricades, staging, bike rack, turnstiles, tables, stanchions, and other furnishings and equipment.
- Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include but are not limited to event setup, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas.
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on equipment such as tables, chairs, staging, barricades, bike racks and seating.
- Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage of equipment and property, loss of property and equipment and safety concerns promptly to director.
- Identify facility and operation needs, maintain the appearance of the facility, and assist with all aspects of operations as needed.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to in-game maintenance calls and troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Provide routine inspections of stadium to ensure normal operations and calculate inventory levels of equipment and material.
- Responsible for various painting, cleaning, maintenance projects in and around the stadium.
- Responsible for assisting with various installation projects: stadium signage, lightbulbs, seating, etc.
- Expected to maintain the appearance of the Sutter Health Park, keeping it a clean, safe, and fun environment for all guests
- Expected to uphold proper knowledge and implementation of safety procedures

- Support Director of Stadium Operations in various work-planning initiatives
- Support stadium site walks and vendor relations under the direction of the Director of Stadium Operations
- Participate in interdepartmental meetings and provide feedback on best practices for stadium setups
- Responsible for tracking, managing, and properly storing inventory of tools, tables, chairs, signage paint, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clear driving record.
- Proven ability to communicate professionally and positively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with guests.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions within the appropriate scope which align with organizational goals and values.
- Ability to follow instructions and translate information provided to future projects.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple projects and utilize time management skills to ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Prior experience using hand tools, small power tools, and golf carts. Willingness and ability to learn to operate a forklift.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues to come up with a creative solution
- Must be available to work extended hours, holidays, and weekends if needed
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience preferred.
- On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to bend, lift, twist, climb, walk up and down stairs, stoop and kneel.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather.
Compensation: This position is a full-time, non-exempt role with an expected annual salary of $37,440 ($18.00/hour). Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
