HEAD OF SCHOOL
Sacred Hearts School is seeking a full-time Head of School to join our leadership team for the 2025-2026 school year. The Head of School will have the primary responsibility for all academic, extracurricular, spiritual and development/finance programs of the school. The Head of School will report directly to the pastor of Sacred Hearts Parish and oversees the Assistant Principals, faculty, and staff, providing leadership, and educational and strategic direction of the school. The Head of School will be an inspirational leader to both internal constituencies (school advisory board, faculty, staff, parents, students) as well as external constituencies (benefactors, community leaders, parishioners).

ABOUT SACRED HEARTS SCHOOL
Sacred Hearts School, founded in 1938 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, has a strong history and tradition of educating students in nursery through eighth grade. Sacred Hearts School is proud of its strong academic and integrated arts programs. With an enrollment of 500 students, Sacred Hearts continues to be a Catholic School of choice for many families in the community. The school campus is comprised of two campuses. The Early Childhood Center is the site of our Nursery, Pre-K and Kindergarten classes. Grades 1-8 are in the main school building.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Leadership and Administration
oProvides visionary leadership and sets the direction for the school.
oInteracts professionally with the Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of Boston and submits required reports and assessments to relevant authorities.
oFoster a positive school culture that reflects Catholic values and principles.
oHire and evaluate all faculty and staff members.
oCultivate strong relationships with parents, guardians, alumni, parishioners, Assistant Principals, School Board, and parish’s finance and operations manager.
oWork collaboratively with the Finance and Operations Manager and Finance Committee to create a realistic budget.
oManage the school's budget responsibly.
oSeek and secure grant funding.
oOrganize and lead fundraising and advancement opportunities, maintain relationships with alumni, support PTO and fundraising committees.
•ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
oOversee curriculum development and implementation to ensure academic rigor, alignment with standards, and adherence to Catholic teachings.
oMonitor student progress, evaluate instructional practices and promote a culture of excellence.
oCollaborate with Assistant Principals, faculty, and staff to create a positive learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional development of students.
oFoster a culture of professional growth among faculty and staff.
•SPIRITUAL FORMATION
oPromote school’s Catholic identity and values through prayer, sacramental offerings, and ongoing service opportunities “to put faith into action.”
oCollaborate with Sacred Hearts Parish to strengthen faith formation opportunities for students, families, and staff.
•ADMISSIONS AND ENROLLMENT
oDevelop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a strong student population.
oOversee the admission process, including marketing initiatives, recruitment, and enrollment management.
oCollaborate with Assistant Principals and the Student Support Coordinator to assess applicant qualifications and make informed admission decisions.
