Sactown Vet is a brand-new (opened just over a year!), three-doctor small animal hospital located in the heart of Midtown that is CLOSED ON WEEKENDS (gasp!!). We strive to create a healthy, calm, and supportive environment for pets, clients, and most importantly, our team. We have a no tolerance policy for gossip and cruelty, want our team members to feel comfortable asking questions and getting help. The hospital is a fear-free certified and cat-friendly certified space, so pets are not pushed past their limits. If they are fighting the treatment, they get sedated or go home to return on sedation. Period.
A Sactown Vet assistant is responsible for the following:
- maintain patient records
- create estimates
- fill medications
- ensure patients get the utmost care
- assist in completion of consent forms for anesthesia and drop-off appointments
- the ability to effectively communicate to other colleagues
- technical skills (venipuncture, restraint for radiographs, etc)
- have a understanding of vaccine protocol
- have initiative
A VETERINARY ASSISTANT CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PERMIT IS A PLUS - salary increase
The hospital is fear-free certified and cat-friendly certified, so the right candidate will know (or be open to learning) how to maintain a calm, low-stress environment for pets.
