Schedules inbound and outbound LTL shipments via Saddle Creek or client transportation management systems and manages BOLs accordingly- Provides project and administrative support to Warehouse Supervisor and Customer Service Supervisor
- Monitors WMS ticket queues, tickets, and ticket tasks to support internal and external requests and inquiries
- Provides support to local operation to ensure operational targets are met
- Manages internal workflow
- Assists in facilitating ongoing training to Fulfillment Associates
- Coordinates and provides regular metric reporting for internal and external consumption
- Actively participates in regular team meetings with Supervisors, Leads, and Fulfillment Associates
- Provides assistance to Warehouse Leads and their respective teams as required
- Coordinates and provides professional communication with clients, client’s retailers, and SCLS vendors
- Monitor assigned warehouse queues daily
- Provides support in investigating warehouse errors
- Coordinates prospective and current client visits and facility tours
- Ensures safety of all warehouse staff and guests is not compromised
- Maintains proper certifications and training
- Ships orders utilizing computers and software
- Files freight claims as needed
- Assists with special projects and participates in committees (e.g., the Safety Committee), as assigned
- Orders, as needed, and ensures efficient use of packaging and general warehouse supplies
- Maintains relationship with utilized preferred and local vendors, as appropriate
Justification
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills and the ability to interact effectively with staff, management, vendors, and customers- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet assigned objectives
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
- Will add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and swing shifts as necessary
