We are seeking a passionate and experienced riding instructor to join our team. As a rider instructor you will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to students of all ages and skill levels in the art of horseback riding. This is a paid instructor position at Saddletree Stables. Great group of instructors who help each other and a friendly work environment. Growing program with horses from beginner-advanced. We have hunter jumper, dressage, and basic western horses available. On-site schooling shows and local shows throughout the season. Primarily hunter jumper students. You can make your own schedule however must work at least one weekend day. Housing available and allow pets. Opportunity to board horse on property. Located in Willow Spring, NC just under 15 miles from Raleigh.

Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Instruct students on proper riding techniques, including mounting, dismounting, and various riding styles
- Teach students about horse care, grooming, and basic stable management
- Provide guidance on safety procedures and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Get students ready to show at our onsite shows. Also have a chance to take them offsite if interested
- Maintain a clean and organized equestrian facility
Qualifications:
- Experience in equestrian sports, with a strong background in horseback riding
- Knowledge of different riding styles, such as dressage, show jumping, or western riding
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively instruct and motivate students
- Experience working with students of all ages and skill levels
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan lessons and manage schedules
- Ability to handle horses safely and confidently
- Certification or qualifications in equestrian coaching is preferred but not required
Skills:
- Education: A background in education or teaching is beneficial for this role as it requires instructing students.
- Experience working with students: Previous experience working with students, whether in a teaching or coaching capacity, is highly valuable for this role.
- Behavior management: The ability to manage student behavior and maintain a positive learning environment is essential.
