Fire Alarm Technician
Responsibilities
- Familiar with current fire codes and reading blueprints of low voltage systems.
- Drill holes, box, pull the cable, and fire caulk per layout through wall studs, joists, ceilings, floors, access holes, roof spaces, wall cavities, conduit, j-hooks, etc.
- Mount control panels; test and repair circuits and sensors by following system specifications.
- Evaluate/troubleshoot system issues and repair as necessary, including configuring program system upgrades as required.
- Manage time appropriately to complete service, inspection, and installation calls while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Complete daily reports, provide forecasts of upcoming work and attend weekly subcontractor meetings on-site as assigned.
- Maintain personal or company vehicle (if assigned) in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Knowledge and Skills
- Fire Alarm License required
- Valid Texas Drivers’ License and proof of Auto Insurance
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Lift, pull, move, climb, and bend throughout the shift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
