Safari Circuits, LLC is a dynamic and growing business, a strategic partner to our customers and a great place to work. We manufacture Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) for the global electronics market. Our Printed Circuit Boards are used in many applications, including medical devices, automotive and industrial.
We currently have an opening for a Director, Quality at our Otsego, MI location.
Job Summary:
As a growing business focused on demanding markets, we are always looking for ways to improve our products and quality processes. Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, this role will lead quality improvement activities for the corporation working closely with senior leadership to identify, implement, and ensure a robust system for ensuring compliance to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016.
Primary responsibilities include:
Ensure continued QMS compliance, organize & monitor daily workflow, coordinate manufacturing defect issues, Management Review, Initiate CAPA's & audits, Customer New Product process, Manage Quality Team Goals, implement inspections, and stay up to date on regulations and changes to ISO standards with respect to product quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or ASQ certification for Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence
- Minimum five years’ experience managing a team in an ISO environment
- Advanced computer experience with creating/editing documentation
- Strong desire to ensure a continuous improvement culture
- Familiarity with electronics manufacturing
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 and 13485 standards
- Excellent communications skills and ability to work directly with customers
- Ability to systematically gather and analyze data
- Knowledge of AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.)
- Familiarity with electronics manufacturing a plus
