What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator/Estimator position at Safari Pools and Landscaping?
Estimating/Coordinating Steps & Duties:
- Schedule with client to review scope or self schedule to look at
- Take measurements, photos, ask questions, notes of scope, drawings, etc.
- Price out labor hours, sub contractors, hardscape material, rental equipment, products, matching products, etc.
- Create proposals based on scope and current costs, internal note where material or product was found review for accuracy.
- Send to client for approval & answer any questions revisions
- Once approved – evaluate current scheduling and add to future schedule
- Notify client and superintendent of anticipated start date
- Coordinate with superintendent on project scope, start/end date mobilization details, discuss materials and products that will be ordered estimated deliveries, permits being applied for, etc.
- Begin applying for permits, schedule sub contractors, ordering material/product, equipment/fencing rental, etc.
- Create project on CF and include scope, files, photos, contract, gnat schedule, to-do list, notes, etc.
- Stay in contact with superintendent and client throughout duration of project
- Final walk with client and superintendent handle punch list
- Notify all parties of project completion and notify office for billing
General Duties:
- Oversee all projects are going per scope and schedule
- Understand the project requirements
- Build relationships with key vendors
- Permitting and change orders
- Coordinate with super intendent on job costing
- Shop around for best pricing between suppliers/subs
- Project scheduling and material pickup & delivery scheduling
- Overview contracts and sub contractor scopes and invoices
- Conduct final walkthroughs, provide documentation and warranties.
- Plan takeoffs for estimating
- Understand blueprints and construction drawings
- Participate in project meetings
- Find ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Answer client questions, requests, provide updates & follow ups.
- Respond to and resolve escalated issues that may impact project
- Ensure clients needs are met
Skills:
- Minimum of 3-years’ experience as a Construction Estimator, or similar type of Estimating required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
