Job Summary

Safe Air Technology is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at our Baton Rouge headquarters. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Operations Manager will lead production, logistics, and staff to ensure efficient manufacturing of mission-critical HVAC systems, including window units, wall units, rooftop units, package systems, and explosion-proof solutions for hazardous environments. This role demands strong leadership, alignment with our company values, and a commitment to safety, reliability, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Manage production schedules, inventory, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of HVAC systems for refineries, rigs, industrial MCCs, and data centers.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and inspire a team of technicians and warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative culture rooted in our values of commitment, collaboration, and passion.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and uphold precision and quality in manufacturing standard and explosion-proof HVAC units.
• Budget Management: Develop and monitor operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, OSHA standards, and company safety protocols.
• Customer Satisfaction: Partner with sales, service, quality, and HR teams to meet client needs, resolve issues, and deliver elite service solutions that exceed expectations.
• Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers to secure timely, cost-effective materials for manufacturing mission-critical systems.
• Reporting: Provide regular performance reports, including KPIs, control and monitor performance dashboards, and recommend tactics to align with our vision and values.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operations management, ideally in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or mission-critical systems.
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership aligned with commitment, initiative, and collaboration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making with a focus on precision.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process optimization.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite).
• Certifications: Six Sigma, PMP, or similar certifications are a plus.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering reliable, high-quality solutions.

Working Conditions

• Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with potential travel to client sites or vendor locations.
• May require evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
• Work in both office and production environments, adhering to strict safety protocols for manufacturing explosion-proof systems.
