This role will : Develop and execute a comprehensive business intelligence and analytics strategy aligned with the Credit Union's overall objectives.Lead the Business Intelligence & Reporting (BI&R) team in delivering actionable insights that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and member satisfaction.Foster a data-driven culture across the organization, promoting data literacy and self-service analytics capabilities.Ensure robust data governance and compliance standards are maintained throughout all BI and analytics initiatives.Collaborate with senior leadership to translate complex data insights into strategic business opportunities.Drive innovation in data analytics methodologies and technologies to maintain SAFE's competitive edge in the financial services sector.Act as a bridge between technical teams and business units, ensuring that data solutions meet evolving business needs.Oversee the development and delivery of timely, accurate, and relevant reporting for senior management and regulatory requirements.This role is pivotal in transforming SAFE Credit Union's decision-making processes, leveraging data as a strategic asset to enhance member services, operational excellence, and overall business performance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Strategy & LeadershipLead the development and alignment of business intelligence, analytics, and data governance strategies with the organization's overall goals and objectives, collaborating closely with senior leadership.Spearhead the planning and execution of strategic initiatives that enhance the Credit Union's reporting and analytics capabilities, ensuring alignment with business needs and technological advancements.Serve as the organization's subject matter expert and thought leader in business intelligence and analytics providing strategic guidance to other departments and driving a data-driven culture.Develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap for the BI&R function, including short-term wins and long-term strategic goals.Foster innovation within the BI&R team by encouraging experimentation with emerging technologies and methodologies, while balancing risk and operational stability.Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the BI&R function, regularly reporting on progress to senior leadership.Development & PerformanceCollaborate with Data Engineering & Management (DEM) team to optimize data delivery strategies, focusing on enhancing analytic capabilities, reporting tools, and self-service functionalities.Drive a culture of innovation within the business intelligence and reporting team, encouraging team members to experiment with new tools, technologies, and methodologies, and providing the necessary support and resources to facilitate ongoing learning and development.Foster a high-performing team through mentorship, strategic goal-setting, and personalized professional development plans, aligning individual growth with organizational objectives.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the BI&R team, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing to deliver actionable intelligence; including learning the various lines of business and interpreting their business intelligence needs.Establish and maintain partnerships with academic institutions and industry associations to stay at the forefront of BI trends and foster a pipeline of emerging talent.Implement and oversee a robust project portfolio management process for business intelligence initiatives, ensuring effective resource allocation, timely delivery, and budget adherence while maximizing business value.Implement a metrics-driven approach to team performance, regularly assessing and reporting on key performance indicators related to project delivery, data quality, and business impact.Collaboration & GovernancePartner with the Data Engineering and Data Governance teams to evaluate and implement cutting-edge data delivery solutions and BI tools that align with SAFE's strategic objectives and evolving business intelligence needs.Orchestrate partnerships across product, business, digital banking, finance, marketing, and IT teams to create a comprehensive, user-friendly channel analytics ecosystem that delivers actionable insights and drives data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.Cultivate and leverage strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, proactively anticipating their evolving needs and integrating these insights into forward-looking business intelligence initiatives.Establish a BI Governance Committee, comprising representatives from various business units, to ensure alignment of BI initiatives with organizational priorities and to foster a culture of data-driven decision making.Develop and implement a comprehensive data literacy program across the organization, empowering employees at all levels to effectively interpret and utilize data in their daily decision-making processes.Collaborate with Risk Management, IT, Data Governance, and DEM teams to develop and implement risk management strategies related to data security, privacy, and compliance, ensuring that business intelligence activities adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.Evaluate and manage vendor relationships to ensure that the organization is delivering and leveraging the best available tools and services in the business intelligence and analytics space.Other ResponsibilitiesOversee the ServicePro reporting and analytics request process, including providing documented procedures to the organization.Perform other duties, as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESPosition is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QUALIFICATIONS Education / Certification : Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, IT, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or Mathematics.Candidates with exceptional work experience that demonstrates equivalent knowledge and skills may be considered in lieu of a formal degree. A combination of education and relevant work experience totaling 14 years or more will be evaluated.Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Required Knowledge : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
