We are looking for an experienced powder coat painter who has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, where quality is our number one goal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Be accountable for the process, inspection, certification, and documentation of the product while working safely and perform essential housekeeping.
- Read a shop order accurately.
- Startup powder coat line and prepare for the day.
- Safely set up and operate powder application equipment including powder guns, hoppers, and powder booths while painting various shapes and sizes of steel components on a moving conveyor line.
- Apply powder paint as required ensuring that thickness, evenness, hardness, and adhesion meets quality standards.
- At times, use manual hand-held guns to apply powder paint as the parts move by on the conveyor.
- Work together with rest of team to assure quality or identify problems as they arise.
- Storing and inventory of powder.
- Assist with loading or part orientation on the line with other team members.
- Execute production work orders, gather required tools and materials, follow instructions and paint specifications required for job.
- Operate all coating equipment including guns, pumps, agitators, wash line, and booth filtration systems.
- Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment; clean hoppers, guns, and booth as required.
- Remain flexible to make needed adjustments to the painting process so that the end-result produces a quality painted product.
- Ability to work positively and as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Education, Experience and Qualifications :
- Previous Powder Coat Paint experience required.
- Must have strong time management skills and be ready to show up to work on time.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Self-motivated.
- Mechanical abilities.
- Eye for detail.
- Respect equipment and enjoy a clean work environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to obtain Medical Clearance for Respirator Use.
Schedule :
First Shift Monday-Friday, 6 : 00AM-2 : 00PM
