Teacher's Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to support our classroom environment and assist in the educational development of students. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers to create a nurturing and effective learning atmosphere for children, particularly in early childhood education settings. This role is essential for fostering a positive educational experience and ensuring that all students receive the attention they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Support students with their learning, providing individualized attention as needed.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Engage with children during playtime and structured activities, promoting social skills and teamwork.
• Monitor student behavior and assist with classroom management to ensure a respectful atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in curriculum development by providing input based on observations of student interactions and learning styles.
• Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
• Assist with basic childcare tasks, including meal preparation, hygiene routines, and supervision during breaks.

Skills

• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Experience working with children in a classroom or daycare setting is highly desirable.
• Effective classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Knowledge of curriculum development processes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with childcare best practices and safety protocols.
• Basic proficiency in math concepts to assist students during lessons.

Pay: $15.50 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
