As a Junior Camp Counselor, you will assist in planning and leading activities, ensuring the well-being of campers, and fostering positive relationships among participants.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of daily camp activities and programs.
- Supervise campers during activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
- Provide support in behavior management and conflict resolution among campers.
- Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging teamwork and inclusivity.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childcare and camp operations.
Skills
- Experience in childcare or babysitting is essential.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with tutoring or educational support is a plus.
- Background in theater or performing arts can enhance activity offerings.
- Understanding of Christian counseling principles is beneficial.
- Strong behavior management skills to maintain a positive environment.
- Classroom management experience is an asset for organizing group activities.
