We are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our M&A strategy, source and evaluate acquisition targets, and execute high-impact deals. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives, conduct due diligence, and expand our portfolio of insurance solutions. This is a hybrid role based in downtown Austin, Texas.
\n- Develop and execute SafeLease's M&A strategy, identifying acquisition opportunities that align with our growth objectives.
- Lead market research and competitive analysis to assess trends, emerging opportunities, and potential acquisition targets.
- Own the deal pipeline, from sourcing and initial outreach to negotiation, structuring, and closing transactions.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence to assess investment opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth deal execution and post-merger integration.
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including brokers, insurance carriers, and potential acquisition targets.
- Drive SafeLease’s corporate development efforts, identifying strategic partnerships that expand our insurance offerings.
- Provide executive leadership with insights and recommendations to inform long-term business strategy.
- 5 years of experience in business development, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or consulting, with a strong focus on M&A.
- Expertise in insurance, financial services, or related industries, with a deep understanding of market dynamics and regulatory considerations.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with experience in deal execution and due diligence.
- Proven ability to develop and manage a deal pipeline, with a track record of closing strategic transactions.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a bias for execution, comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
