What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Auditor position at SafeRack Careers and Employment?
The Quality Auditor reports to the Quality Supervisor and performs inspection and testing duties to ensure that manufactured products fulfill all customer and internal specifications and quality requirements. Responsibilities also include communicating requirements, processes, and issues to a wide variety of internal resources. This position is critical to achieving customer satisfaction as they may provide the final quality measure for our product prior to being received by our customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with established
- Conduct inspections and audits of incoming, in-process, and finished products
- Performs first article inspections to support the component qualification process
- Initiate Non-Conformance Reports and completion of NCR process utilizing
- Input and perform trending analysis of key Quality process metrics
- Support the Quality Manager in quality deliverables specific to customer
- Document, report, and present inspection audit findings and results and monitor
- Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection of raw materials,
Requirements
- Read and interpret specifications and part prints
- Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment
- Perform material kit audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the kitting process
- Perform product identification and traceability activities as required
- Assist with the returned goods/warranty process as appropriate
- Communicate with Engineering to ensure drawings and schematics are in
- Author Single Point Lessons and other controlled documents for the purpose of
- Perform Internal ISO Audits of SafeRack’s defined processes
- Support the established Quality Management System, ISO 9001, and all
- Coach and Mentor Quality and Production associates regarding quality
- Other duties as business needs dictate
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in relevant field preferred
- 5 years manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated understanding of multi-discipline manufacturing processes
- 4 years of Quality experience as Inspector or Auditor
- A working knowledge of calibration, inspection, measuring, and test equipment
- Training and certifications in Quality preferred
- A basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis techniques
- A basic understanding of geometric tolerance and blueprint reading
- Basic PC skills including documentation creation, saving documents and photos
- Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, and mathematical reasoning ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team orientation with ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to details
- Ability to accept responsibility and prioritize individual workload
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
