Job Summary: As a Manager of Recovery Services , you will play a key role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. This position combines direct peer coaching with leadership responsibilities, including program development, team support, and administrative oversight. You will leverage your lived experience and peer support expertise to foster connection, accountability, and growth for clients and team members alike.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Professionalism
- Actively engage in peer coaching, facilitate recovery and life skills groups, and participate in community outreach.
- Serve as a role model of professionalism and adherence to organizational policies.
- Complete Medicaid-compliant documentation promptly and accurately.
Client Support
- Provide one-on-one peer coaching to clients, sharing lived experience to inspire hope and recovery.
- Conduct client needs assessments and develop personalized recovery plans.
- Facilitate group sessions on recovery and life skills, modeling effective strategies for success.
Team Support and Supervision
- Foster a supportive environment for peer coaches, serving as the first point of contact for guidance.
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members, providing constructive feedback and oversight.
- Oversee group schedules and assist team members with documentation and administrative tasks.
Program Development and Outcomes
- Develop and refine recovery group curriculums, ensuring diverse and impactful topics are covered.
- Monitor program effectiveness, adjust strategies as needed, and report outcomes to leadership.
- Conduct resident interviews to assess program fit and address concerns.
Administrative Duties
- Manage group schedules and oversee accountability tasks, such as tracking attendance and progress.
- Collaborate with shelter staff to ensure smooth operations and address logistical needs.
Qualifications:
- Lived Experience: Personal experience with behavioral health recovery and a passion for peer support.
- Certification: Certified Peer Support Specialist
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support team members.
- Recovery Knowledge: Understanding of recovery principles, behavioral health resources, and Medicaid documentation requirements.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks, schedules, and documentation effectively.
