Position Overview
The Safety Services Manager plays a key role in driving compliance, regulatory excellence, and prequalification success for clients in transportation, logistics, and hazardous materials industries.
You will own client outcomes in areas such as DOT, FMCSA, HAZMAT compliance, and third-party contractor vetting platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta). As a customer advocate and compliance expert, you'll drive efficiency, reduce risk, and help transform how clients manage safety.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Industry Expertise
- Ensure client compliance with DOT, FMCSA, HAZMAT, and OSHA regulations.
- Oversee client documentation (Driver Qualification, training, drug/alcohol testing).
- Deliver expert guidance on compliance trends, audits, and risk mitigation.
Contractor Prequalification & Client Liaison (ISNetworld/Avetta)
- Serve as liaison between clients and platforms like ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce.
- Manage documentation submissions and prequalification status tracking.
- Help clients achieve and maintain contractor approval ratings.
Data Analysis & Compliance Reporting
- Analyze client compliance metrics, audit results, and incident trends.
- Leverage software tools to track performance and report outcomes.
- Provide insight to support churn mitigation and value delivery.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement scalable compliance programs aligned with client goals.
- Recommend improvements to prequalification processes and internal workflows.
- Support adoption of Edge features for compliance documentation where applicable.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in safety/compliance management (DOT, FMCSA, HAZMAT).
- Strong understanding of contractor prequalification and platform operations.
- Proficient in compliance technology and fleet/safety data systems.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and educate clients.
- Results-oriented mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for key client engagements and audits.
