Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior IT Infrastructure & Network Specialist to join our growing IT team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about IT infrastructure and network management, with an eagerness to develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Junior Specialist will assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our company's IT infrastructure and network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and maintenance of the company’s server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Support the management of network systems, ensuring reliability and optimal performance across local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN).
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve system and network issues, escalating as necessary to senior specialists or engineers.
- Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems by implementing and maintaining firewalls, antivirus software, and other security measures.
- Assist in hardware and software inventory management and ensure proper updates and patches are applied regularly.
- Provide technical support to internal users for both hardware and software-related issues.
- Collaborate with the senior IT team on system and network optimization projects and assist with the implementation of new IT technologies.
- Document system configurations, network architectures, and troubleshooting processes to ensure knowledge sharing and proper issue resolution.
- Stay current with the latest IT trends and advancements to improve infrastructure reliability and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration, network administration, or a similar technical role.
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.) and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux-based systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA Network , CCNA, or similar certifications.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and cloud networking.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and network diagnostic tools (Wireshark, Nagios, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of scripting or automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
