What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerospace Planner I position at Safran Passenger Innovations?
The Production Planner I performs production and material planning support for Manufacturing Operations. This individual assists in the development of the material support plans, reviewing material requirements for availability and ensuring that material orders are launched in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the production build plan, releasing shop orders according to schedule; track and report its status through completion
- Evaluate raw material requirements to ensure availability, working closely with Buyers
- Coordinate with Quality the immediate needs of incoming and outgoing material
- Coordinate the incorporation of engineering changes into the production plan
- Work within given constraints of quality and flight authority requirements
- Organize, plan, and schedule based on order requirements accordingly to improve workflow and optimize for customer needs
- Work closely to with manufacturing to maintain a schedule that best supports customer demand; Interface with Procurement, Quality, Warehouse, and Manufacturing personnel on all material, shipping, and production status
- Process and track MRP exceptions on a daily basis
- Plan and schedule to constraints of bottlenecks along the supply chain; Understand the capacity and impacts for level loading
- Release sales orders for fulfillment while understanding aerospace and FAA certification requirements
- Continuously update MRP and planning parameters to anticipate demand changes
- Adapt to reprioritizations and communicate effectively the impacts to the company from any decisions management flows down
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
