The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of contracts, strategic supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. This role plays a key part in driving cost efficiencies, mitigating risks, and supporting organizational objectives through effective contract and supplier management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement commodity strategies, including sourcing, supplier base optimization, and innovation integration
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure strategy alignment with organizational goals
- Generate executive presentation and data driven models to validate business causes as require by management team
- Support new product introduction (NPI) processes from design to ramp-up phases
- Lead strategic supplier relationship management, including long-term agreement (LTA) negotiations, compliance, and risk mitigation
- Manage RFQs, contract approvals, tracking, and amendments to ensure traceability and security
- Drive closure of contractual issues and implement non-performance penalties as needed
- Monitor and coordinate appropriate actions to ensure purchasing performance and commodity-specific activities align with company strategy Conduct market analysis and provide strategic supplier performance insights
- Ensure adherence to all contractual terms, intellectual property licenses, and export compliance requirements
- Support legal and program teams in resolving disputes and enforcing contracts
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships and contract execution
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
- Experience with bids and responses to complex RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
- Experience with generating supplier agreements to include MSAs LTAs, LOIs MOUs and other legal documents as needed
- Knowledge of export compliance and intellectual property management
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and ability to handle confidential information
- 10 years of experience in contract management or related field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, conflict resolution, and contract negotiation
- Demonstrated ability to manage defined commodities, ensure compliance, and contribute to program execution
- Proven expertise in coordinating supplier strategies and conducting market analyses
- Contract management experience within the IFE or Aerospace industry
- Strong understanding of FAR/DFAR terms and risk management
The starting pay range for this position is $119,000 - $134,500 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
