What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Production Planner position at Safran?
The Opportunity:
We are looking for an Associate Production Planner to support the coordination and expedition of the flow of work and materials within Operations in accordance with a production schedule. As a key member of the Operations team, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate to key stakeholders across all departments.

Safran Federal Systems provides Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (R-PNT) solutions and custom engineering services to U.S. Government agencies, defense organizations and their contractors. How I will contribute:
- Utilize the ERP system to plan the materials required to support the production schedule. Create, release and maintain Production Orders and associated tracking tools.
- Ownership of tactical responsibilities in support of Lead Planner's capacity and material planning.
- Ensure compliance with unique customer requirements and internal quality codes through accurate data entry and maintenance and effective communication with necessary internal stakeholders.
- Monitor production orders throughout production cycle and provide necessary support to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer success including but not limited to ERP system transactions, collaboration with Order Management, Supply Chain, Quality and Production.
- Participate in and support cross-functional Operations meetings with ERP data maintenance and execute changes based on meeting output.
- Identify issues with ERP system or other processes and elevate to Lead Planner. Contribute to continuous-improvement efforts.
What you Bring to Safran Federal Systems:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of industry experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to execute directives efficiently and independently.
- Solid knowledge base in manufacturing support with great attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively deliver detailed information at all levels within the business.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Self-starter with an eagerness to learn.
- Confident, committed, and enthusiastic.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to be flexible and have fun!
- Plus: Experience in production planning.
- Plus: Experience working with Aerospace, Defense, and Government customers.
- Plus: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central.
- Position is based in the US, with minimal to no travel (less than 10%).
